As a CRM platform, SalesHive processes customer data on your behalf. You are the data controller, and we are the data processor. This policy explains how we handle and protect your customers' information.

When you create a SalesHive account, we collect:

For customer data you store in SalesHive:
- You are the Data Controller: You determine what data to collect and how to use it
- We are the Data Processor: We process data according to your instructions
- Your Responsibility: Ensure you have proper consent and legal basis to collect customer data

Your data is stored securely in:
- Enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure (AWS/Google Cloud)
- Data centers with ISO 27001 certification
- Geographic redundancy for high availability
- Automated daily backups with 30-day retention
3.2 Encryption
We protect your data with:
- AES-256 Encryption: For data at rest
- TLS 1.3: For data in transit
- Database Encryption: All customer data encrypted
- Secure Key Management: Encryption keys rotated regularly

5. Email Services
5.1 Email Sending
When you send emails through SalesHive:
- Emails are sent from your connected email account

- Email content is stored for record-keeping
- You are responsible for CAN-SPAM and GDPR compliance
5.2 Email Integration
We support integration with:
- Gmail (via OAuth 2.0)
- Outlook/Office 365
- SMTP servers
Email credentials are encrypted and never stored in plain text.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data as follows:
- Active Accounts: Data retained while your account is active
- After Cancellation: Data retained for 30 days for recovery
- Backups: Backup data retained for 30 days
- Legal Requirements: Some data may be retained longer if required by law

- Export: Download your data in CSV or JSON format
- Modify: Edit or update any information
- Delete: Remove specific records or entire datasets
- Account Deletion: Permanently delete your account and all data

8. Customer Data Rights (Your Customers)
Your customers have rights under data protection laws:
- Right to access their data
- Right to correction of inaccurate data
- Right to deletion ("right to be forgotten")
- Right to object to processing
- Right to data portability
As the data controller, you are responsible for responding to these requests. We provide tools to help you fulfill these obligations.
9. Integrations and Third-Party Apps
SalesHive integrates with:
- Email Services: Gmail, Outlook
- Calendar: Google Calendar, Outlook Calendar
- Communication: WhatsApp, SMS gateways
- Payment: Stripe, Razorpay, PayPal
- Accounting: QuickBooks, Zoho Books
When you enable integrations, you authorize data sharing with those services according to their privacy policies.
10. Team Collaboration
When you add team members:
- Team members can access data based on their role and permissions
- You control what each team member can see and do
- Activity logs track all team member actions
- You can revoke access at any time
11. Data Processing Agreement (DPA)
For enterprise customers or those requiring GDPR compliance, we offer a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) that:
- Defines our role as data processor
- Outlines data processing terms
- Includes Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs)
- Specifies security measures and obligations
